TANDEM Santiago - Isla Negra - San Antonio - Pomaire

Highlights:

Round trip to the sea - Pablo Neruda House in Isla Negra - most important export harbour and fish market San Antonio, with huge sea lions, pelicans, penguins and many sea birds - pottery and handicrafts in Pomaire

Description:

From Santiago we will take the Ruta 68 towards the famous wine valleys of Curacaví and Casablanca. Our first stop on the central coast will be in El Quisco an important sea bath with a big sand beach. Afterwards we will reach Isla Negra the place where Pablo Neruda the most important Chilean Poet and Nobel prize winner lived. The visit of his house is a must. We will have lunch in the port of San Antonio, where we can get in touch with the big sea lions and pelicans. On our way back to Santiago we pass to Pomaire the place where ancient pottery tradition is still alive. A stroll through its main street with lots of handicrafts shops and restaurants is the end of this trip.
